Traditionally, the Thai monks performed Thai massage in the temples to refresh the body mind and spirit. It is the physical application of Metta or ‘loving-kindness’. In this course, we will be in the classroom once weekly in Anchorage, in addition to a once monthly weekend intensive in the Talkeetna area, where we will learn and refresh our spirits amidst the vibration of Denali, the energy of the confluence of the three rivers, (the Chulitna, Talkeetna, and Susitna ), and be amongst the wisdom of the Spruce and Birch forests. We will also be learning the principals of the Yogic Arts and Eastern Healing and how to incorporate them into Thai Massage.
It is our 20th year as a school at the Alaska Institute, and it has been a long-term goal of mine to bring some of our classes into the wilds and create opportunities for people to nurture themselves in nature. I am excited about this and hope you can join!

Thai massage gives you additional pain relieving moves for common areas of client concerns especially in the shoulders, back, hips, and legs.
